About Garland Lustre & John Garland
John developed a love of antiques and hunting for treasures by going to yard sales with his beloved grandmother, Thelma and her sister Ethel, back in his tiny northeast Texas home town. Thelma and Ethel, having lived through the Great Depression, would find a creative use or need for almost anything without wasting.
Over the years, John has developed his professional singing skills, as well and learning to restore and repair antiques. He loves to find pieces that need some extra love or a little bit of work and then turn them back into a beautiful showpiece.
John, also being an artist, loves to incorporate some pieces into sculpture and artworks, or recreate missing portions to make a piece whole again.
You can see this in some of our social media videos that will be regularly posting.
Also, you may recognise John and his move to Nice from the two House Hunters International episodes that he filmed with celebrity property expert, Adrian Leeds.
John searches throughout Nice and the Côte d'Azur and has built wonderful relationships with his local French sources . He hand picks every item himself, knowing many of these beautiful and unique finds have come from local homes, châteaus, and castles throughout the south of France and Monaco. Hundreds of years of French history....countless stories, love, heartache, joy, and tears... ready to now be entrusted to you. Now you can make your own memories and have a piece of France in your home as well.
Not all of our items are French. Some have been brought back to France from the travels of the previous owners for their Chateau or Villa... so you never know what you may find.
We look forward to sharing our passion for these treasures with you and as a special part of your home.
